YTP Ltd was established in 2000 with a Board of Directors made up of two members representing each of the four boroughs in South Yorkshire - Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley. This organization initially was set up to liaise with the newly formed Learning and Skills Council on behalf of Training Providers, Charities, and Voluntary Sector type organizations in the South Yorkshire area. The idea was that YTP could act has an independent body representing the interests of its membership covering a variety of Educational, Training and Skills issues, with the LSC. Since 2003, YTP Ltd has become a self-funding organization and work independently from the LSC and boosts a membership of nearly 50 providers across the South Yorkshire region. Over the past eight years YTP Ltd have successfully won LSC & ESF funded contracts worth up to £8m, and are currently delivering a Consortium Train to Gain mainstream, and Train to Gain L3 pilot contract throughout the Yorkshire & Humberside area, made up of training providers from the membership. |
